SASHA
Sasha arrived home on March 21, 1998. He was very well behaved on the plane and actually enjoyed the ride. Our flight was delayed from New York to Orlando, Florida for three hours so we did not get home until 1:30 am in the morning.
Sasha & Shayla were running around chasing the dogs and wanting to play all night. It was like they got their second wind and were ready for another full day.
Within a few months Sasha was speaking fluent English. He watches a lot of Barney videos and knows all the American children songs. He sings and dances and is very sweet and loving.
Sasha is a very small boy. He is now five years old and is only wearing a size 24 months in clothes. He is healthy but the doctors said that he is low on iron, and he will catch up. I personally don't believe that he will catch up, because he is so small.
Sasha's hobbies include:
Anything with Barney
Riding in his new jeep
Swimming
And going to Pre-K
He is definatly a one of a kind little boy. He is very romantic and very loving. He is always kissing and hugging on everyone. Sasha was the favorite in the Orphanage, and seems to be here in America too. Everyone always says "If I knew that I would get a boy like Sasha, I would adopt"
Sasha is very handsome , and has a flurtatious way about him. He knows when to give you the sad eyes, and knows just how to make you smile.
He is the quietest child I have. He is very soft spoken, and everything hurts his feelings. He is the type of child that if one of the other children say he is ugly he cries. He looks up to Shayla for advice in everything. She is like his little momma. Shayla is Sasha's favorite sibling. He is always wanting to play with her. Sasha & Shayla have a close relationship, I think that it is because they were with each other throughout the adoption and was there to talk to each other, making the whole trip and transfer together. Sasha gets along with all his brothers and sisters. But the three adopted babies still protect and stick up for each other the most.
His other favorite person (other than myself) is his uncle Rennie and Aunt Donna. Everyday Sasha says "I want to go to MY Donna's house".
My nephews and niece spoil Sasha. They are always playing with him and giving him everything that he wants.
He is very intellegent and can do just about anything a normal 5 year old boy can do. Even though he is smaller, he is just as smart. He is a perfect little boy, and I could not have asked for one better.
I know that I was blessed the day that I first saw Sasha. Even though I thought that I was only going to adopt one child (a girl), As soon as I met Sasha, I knew that I had to make sure that he found a home. Now I think about the other family that I was trying to get to adopt Sasha, and I think what if they did?
I know that they would have taken good care of Sasha, since after all they did land up adopting two year old twin boys, But I also "Thank God" that they did not come to get him. Because then I would have missed out on the best son a mother could ask for. |
